We have recently added some new players to our raid team. We want to be sure everyone knows how the loot in raids is handled. Please read the following. If anyone has any questions, dont hesitate to ask myself (Anahope), Chigley, Nightwind, or Lauralathas.

I. Main vs. Alternate (Alt) Character -
In general, main characters have priority over alternate (alt) characters when rolling for gear. This rule is waived when an alt character is needed to complete a group to run an instance or raid. For example, a player brings in an alt to heal or tank when no other players are available. This player would be able to roll against main specs, since they were required to complete the group. But a member will not be able to roll against a main spec if that member brings in a class when they have another character as their main with the same class (i.e. two characters that are both DPS).

Please be sure that your characters are properly labeled as main or alt prior to going on raids. Officers will be going by the listing as marked in the guild tab. If it is not marked properly, please notify an officer prior to the run.

II. Main Spec vs. Offspec -
Main spec characters will receive priority on gear over offspec characters. This is waive when a character had to respec to help the needs of the group. For example, a DPS spec'd shaman respecs to healing to complete a group. If DPS gear drops, this character will be able to roll.

On a side note, if a character respecs to help the group, and gear drops for this offspec, they are asked to allow regular main spec characters to have priority on the loot.

III. Guild Members vs. Out of Guild Members -
All raid members will have the same chance to roll on items, whether in Dodgy at Best or not, with the exception of tier pieces. Tier loot is reserved for guild members only. This will be stated to non-guild members prior to starting the raid.

IV. One peice of loot per raid -
We want to make sure loot is passed out equally through out the raid. If you roll on an item and you win the item you will not be able to roll on any other loot drops for the rest of the raid time. But if another item drops that is an upgrade for you and there isnt anyone else in the raid who could use it, it is better off being used then sharded. This is to be sure we are gearing up all of our members rather then just one member. =)

Okay, after some discussion on how we are progressing and ways to better optimize our raid experiences, we've decided to change up our raiding schedule to the following:

Fridays:
• Vaults of Archavon (Wintergrasp)
• Chamber of Aspects (Sartharion)
• Naxxramas: Spider Wing
• Naxxramas: Construct Wing

Saturday:
• Naxxramas: Military Wing
• Naxxramas: Plague Wing
• Naxxramas: Sapphiron

Sunday:
• Kel'thuzad (*)
• Malygos (*)
• Older Raid Content (Azeroth and Oldland)

(*): These encounters are set aside for more experienced and geared raiders.

The reason we are making these changes is so we spend adequate thing on getting the gear needed for the harder content (Kel'thuzad and Malygos), as well as keeping some of the fight mechanics fresh in our minds, but also to ensure we are bringing other lower toons into the previous content so they can experience it for themselves.

Almost one month from when we originally started raiding and we've almost cleared all of Naxxramas! Tonight we were able to FINALLY down Grobbulus (if I ever meet the developer who created that fight I'm gonna slap them), Gluth after a few attempts (bad puppy... play dead!), and to top it off Thaddius on our first attempt (which was rather shocking...)!

Okay, I'm done with the bad puns... =)

So after a long night, I would figure everyone would be tired (and we were) and ready to stop, but the excitement was too much and we had to see Sapphiron and just get a taste of the fight. Well, with no frost resist gear and little knowledge of the fight, we were able to go in and down her (is it a her?? I mean, its a big dead skeleton dragon... does it even have a gender?? Oh well, I digress) after like four attempts and move on to see Kel'thuzad. We won't mention who decided to aggro a ton of the mobs in there and got everyone killed, but I will mention that we were able to get him to 70% while half asleep.

Anyways, one more boss and Naxx is full clear, plus we now have access to Malygos in the Eye of Eternity! We might step foot in there in a week or so just to see the fight and how we do, but if experience has taught me anything about you guys, we'll have him down in no time!

Another night and another first kill for Dodgy at Best... Actually, another THREE first time kills! Grand Widow Faerlina dropped on our first attempt, Maexnna on our third, and four for Four Horsemen! Not bad for some "casual" raiders. =)
